Using its Rational Design Methodology, the Company has already developed next generation diesel catalysts to help automotive and truck OEMs comply with the more stringent Euro-6 emissions standards that go into effect in 2014. Initial evaluations indicate that these catalysts may allow enhanced engine performance while providing an additional 25% reduction in precious metal costs.
