Mr. David Aslin (External Director) - 3i Technology Partners
David Aslin is a venture investor, entrepreneur and coach with emerging companies in materials, cleantech and wireless devices. As a Partner at global VC firm 3i, heled the US early stage practice, leading 8 investments including Bitfone (acquired by HP NYSE:HPQ), Triage Wireless and Nanostellar. During his extensive operating career David created, led and built successful technology businesses at major corporations (Life Science International plc, Hewlett Packard (now Agilent) and Applied Biosystems) an as CEO/COO at private companies. He has served on boards of several public and private companies and holds a C.B.A. from Warwick Business School (UK) and completed M.S.I.B. at INSEAD (France) as well as holding an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Imperial College, London; he is recognized as a Chartered Chemist by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Dr. Neal Bhadkamkar - Monitor Ventures
Neal Bhadkamkar is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Monitor Ventures, the early stage venture capital affiliate of The Monitor Group. Monitor Ventures invests in early stage companies commercializing technologies in markets where Monitor Group's knowledge and client base can be used to reduce market risk. Neal focuses on transformational technologies for industrial and enterprise applications.
Before co-founding Monitor Ventures, Neal had a successful career in technology commercialization. As VP of Manufacturing and Engineering at Zowie Intertainment, Neal managed the design, development and launch of Zowie's award winning products. At Interval Research, Paul Allen's research and commercialization company, Neal headed the commercialization process as well as serving as a member of the research staff. Neal started his business career at the Boston Consulting Group.
Neal is an Electrical Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Pankaj Dhingra (CEO)
Pankaj has more than 25 years of experience, including managing a technology startup and a $650 million global automotive components business. His functional experience spans finance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing with Delphi, General Motors and Unisys. During his tenure at Delphi, he managed the company's automotive battery business and delivered substantial revenue and profit growth. Prior to joining Nanostellar Pankaj served as President of Ener1, Inc.'s Energy Division, an alternative energy technologies company. Pankaj has BS in Electrical Engineering from India and MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University.
Dr. William Miller (Chairman, Founder)
Dr. Miller is a Herbert Hoover Professor of Public and Private Management and Computer Science Emeritus and he was Vice President and Provost of Stanford University. He is Chairman Emeritus of Borland Software Corporation. He is also President and CEO Emeritus of SRI International. He has served on the board of directors of several major companies such as Wells Fargo Bank, Varian Associates, Fireman's Fund Insurance, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Dr. Miller also played a role in the founding of the first Mayfield Fund as a special limited partner and advisor to the general partners. He received a Ph.D. in Physics from Purdue University.
Dr. Edward T. Wolynic
Dr. Wolynic has more than 30 years of experience in managing technology, business development, licensing, and intellectual property for several global Fortune 500 companies in diverse market domains. He served as chief technology officer and group vice president of strategic technologies at Engelhard Corporation, a leading surface and materials science company, from 2000 until its 2006 acquisition by BASF. As an elected officer of Engelhard, Dr. Wolynic was responsible for both the corporation's overall technology investment and the Ventures/New Business Development group. He also served on the board of the Nippon-Engelhard joint venture. Before joining Engelhard, Dr. Wolynic was vice president of research and development at International Specialty Products and at UOP, a Honeywell company. Previously, he held positions with Union Carbide and Merck. Dr. Wolynic is a member of the board of directors of Immunomedics Inc. (NASDAQ: IMMU) and the Garden State Cancer Center Foundation, and serves on the Franklin Lakes Environmental Commission. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and earned a master's and doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University.
Mr. Martin Lagod (Observer) - Firelake Capital Managment
Martin Lagod is a managing director and co-founder of Firelake Capital Management LLC. Mr. Lagod is responsible for private company investments. He serves as a member of the board of Nano-Tex LLC and HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc. and is an observer on the boards of Pionetics, Sensicore, Solicore, Miasole, and Nanostellar, all Firelake portfolio companies.
From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Lagod worked in the energy technology sector. He was the co-founder and CEO of Solo Energy Corporation, a start up energy technology company based in Alameda California. Solo Energy developed microturbine and clean combustion reciprocating engines for the distributed power market.
Mr. Lagod holds a B.A. in Economics (with Honors) from the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Sustainable Enterprise at the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Mr. Lagod also serves on a Stakeholder Board for Genencor, Inc. responsible for reviewing the Company's Annual Sustainability Report.
Mr. Louie Liu (Observer) - AisaTech Managment
Louie comes to AsiaTech with years of experience in engineering and high-tech marketing. Prior to joining AsiaTech, Louie ran the e-Commerce software product line at Hewlett Packard, where he was in charge of the entire product life cycle in product definition, engineering development, beta program, and final product launch. Before HP, Louie held various senior positions in marketing, business development, and engineering, in companies including TIBCO, Lucent Technologies, Intuit, and Westinghouse Electric, and was also an associate at WGC Associates, a Chicago-based private equity firm.
Graduated from China's elite Tsinghua University in Beijing, Louie is an active supporter of the entrepreneurial activities of its graduates. He serves as chairman and president of the Tsinghua alumni group (www.tsinghua.net) with over 1,500 members in the Bay Area. He also holds an MS from the Ohio State University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Kevin Scott (Observer) - 3i Technology Partners
Kevin Scott has been part of the 3i US team since 2000. He has broad
experience in the software sector with a track record of investing in
enterprise applications, infrastructure and business services. In addition
to Nanostellar, he currently represents 3i on the Boards of Aegis, Fios,
Intalio, ClearApp, CollegeNet, Trovix, Intelliden, and Winery Exchange.
Immediately prior to joining 3i, Kevin was a consulting partner at
PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he focused on M&A transactions and was
responsible for the international development of the Accelerated Transition
M&A integration practice and its rollout into the high technology sectors.
As part of his work for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in France, Kevin managed
corporate finance engagements for corporate and financial buyers and advised
US companies on investment strategies in France and Europe. Prior to PWC,
Kevin worked for Marcam Corporation, a start-up ERP software company based
in Boston.Kevin received his MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management
with a focus on Finance and Management Policy. He holds a BA in Political
Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and is fluent in
French.
